October 15, 2026 — A reproducible file-copy experiment
Substantively revised the existing copy-verification guide with original downloadable SVG fixtures, a fingerprint manifest, controlled comparisons and a troubleshooting path. Added five executable image-file cases and result-specific next steps to the checker. Kept the guide’s October 7 publication date; only the review date and affected collection/method dates changed. No cloud library or personal photo recovery is claimed.
October 12, 2026 — Review Live Photo components
Added a Live Photo backup guide distinguishing original components, viewing copies and destination playback. Its fictional six-file inventory demonstrates why matching counts can conceal a missing component. A downloadable blank component ledger helps readers record their own observations. No personal library or Apple account was tested; existing guide dates are unchanged.
October 8, 2026 — Preserve context after a photo export
Added a Google Photos Takeout guide to JSON companions and date inspection, with a clearly hypothetical three-item review and a downloadable blank worksheet. The guide distinguishes file-system dates, embedded metadata and companion information before any repair. Existing guides retain their original publication and source-review dates.
October 7, 2026 — A focused edition
- Withdrew the previous 41 general-topic articles from the live site, article lists, RSS and sitemap. The publisher retained a recoverable archive; withdrawn URLs now return a not-found response rather than redirecting to unrelated content.
- Replaced the broad news and digital-life navigation with photo backup and file care.
- Published four connected guides: copy maps, file verification, capacity planning and a non-destructive recovery drill.
- Rebuilt the backup checklist and storage planner; added a read-only local file copy checker with a built-in known-result demonstration.
- Retired unrelated tools from the live site. Preserved Google, Naver and AdSense ownership identifiers.
- Kept tool pages free of ad scripts and restricted their script connections. Advertising JavaScript is not loaded in this edition.
This redesign is a change in reader purpose, not a promise of Google indexing, rankings or AdSense approval. Existing search results can take time to reflect withdrawn URLs.
What comes next
Future changes should respond to evidence: a reported error, a changed provider behavior, an observed tool limitation or a useful recovery question. We will not add unrelated trending topics simply to increase article count.
